Our room was a lovely size and very clean. The bathroom was good and spacious and included a separate shower. It was convenient. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were so friendly and met our every need.
I had to pay for parking at the hotel. This reminded me of it should have been included.

The location is perfect. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. I loved the scenery and beautiful green hills overlooking it. Plenty to see and visit is in the lake district.

a lovely stay
convenient location clean room
i appreciated the convenient location near town, perfect for exploring local restaurants. our room was spacious and clean, it had a kettle and coffeemaker. the breakfast was delicious, and i especially appreciated the kind waiter who noticed my teabag and quickly brought me a hot water pot.
the lack of a designated storage area before check-in was somewhat inconvenient. the restrooms in the main reception area had an unpleasant odor. i think the place could use some tlc.

The hotel is conveniently located across from the train and bus station! I loved the character throughout the premises. The breakfast buffet had many options. Our upgraded room offered a spacious layout with a clean, well-kept bathroom!!!
I found that I had to pay a daily fee for parking.

central location convenient trail clean bathroom
the location was very central. i appreciated being just 3 minutes walk from the station. it was convenient being right beside the orrest head hike trail too. bathrooms were very clean!!!
the restaurant was not open for dinner, but no notification was given on the website.
